Scientific researcher: optics, spectroscopy, plasma and lasers. A graduate of the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Physics. Doctor in Doctor of Science in Physics at the Blaise-Pascal University, Clermont-Ferrand, France. Post-doctorate in the University of Florence, Italy. Starting 2015 he is the head of CETAL, Center for Advanced Laser Technologies, in INFLPR. He collaborated with many well known artists for art and science projects, in order to produce intreractive art instalations: iHUMAN – artisT Saint Machine, Perspectrum – artist Catalin Cretu, The Cell – artist Peter Gate and Particule Afective – artist Sabina Suru.

He initiated The Internet of Living Beings (The Internet of Skaters and the Internet of Microorganisms) as part of SYNAPSE’s Experience & Experiments series and develops it together with students from Politehnica University of Bucharest – Faculty of Applied Sciences and students from the Faculty of Physics of the University of Bucharest, Măgurele. The motion patterns of the skaters carry their emotions, their experiences, failures and victories. These will be transformed in digital data, and will artistically become sounds, images, digital experiences created by students/MA from CINETic – UNATC. Work in progress.
